Claywork is a small-scale design and build company based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our team is comprised of two brothers: Nick and Luke Alexiuk. We made a conscious decision at the inception of our company to maintain a small operation. This strategy was implemented to ensure consistent, high-quality craft in all aspects of our work.
Our company is unique in that we are two designers who carry out the actual construction. This format inherently creates a more personal relationship with every client and ensures that all aspects of each design have been carefully constructed.
Through every project, we strive to enhance the functionality and engagement of each space. We enjoy the challenges that evolve in the construction process and embrace them for our own professional growth.
Whether we’re designing a small garden or building a sunroom, Claywork is thoroughly committed to creating something beautiful for your needs, from the ground up.
Nick has been working in the construction industry for over 15 years. His passion for building and love for plants inspired him to further his education in landscape architecture. In 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba, specializing in Landscape and Urbanism. In 2012, Nick founded Claywork to preserve his construction roots and to continue to hone his craft as a designer.
Nick spends his spare time with his family, playing guitar, piano, board games and talking to anyone who is willing to listen to him about plants.
Luke has been working in the construction industry for 15 years. He is a former WHL defensemen for the Portland Winterhawks and Lethbridge Hurricanes. Prior to the establishment of Claywork, Luke studied Film at the University of Manitoba. In 2013, Luke became co-owner of the company through the gentle persuasion of his brother.
Luke spends his spare time with his family, playing guitar, golfing, renovating his home and ruminating over his fantasy football league rosters.
